Buckets or Bench? Check Before You Order Liners
Second-row floor liners come in bucket and bench versions, and they are different shapes. This is the single most common ordering mistake on the Enclave, and it is avoidable by looking at your own second row before you check out.
Bench liners are frequently listed across Traverse, Enclave, Acadia and Outlook together, because those vehicles shared the Lambda platform through overlapping generations. That is genuine platform sharing, not a marketing claim — but it only holds within matching production years. A listing that names all four models still needs your generation on it.
Brake Pads: Check the Year Range Carefully
The low-dust Carbotech pads commonly recommended for the Enclave fit 2007–2012 only — first-generation cars. They do not fit a second- or third-generation Enclave, and that matters because the Avenir trim did not exist until 2018. Earlier versions of our Enclave pages recommended these pads to Avenir owners, which was a fitment impossibility. If you have an Avenir, these are not your pads.
On a first-generation car they are a reasonable upgrade: low-dust compounds keep wheel faces cleaner, which is worth something on a vehicle this size that spends its life carrying weight. Brake specifications differ by trim, weight and model year even within a shared platform, so brake parts should always be bought against your specific year rather than the platform.
What Else Is Worth Having
- Cabin air filter — the least visible item here and among the most useful in a vehicle carrying seven people. Roughly annually or every 12,000–15,000 miles, sooner in dust or high pollen. Confirm the right filter for your generation and year by VIN rather than assuming one part covers three generations.
- Door puddle lights — offered in generation-matched designs. Adhesive-mounted, so they do not tap the door harness.
- Universal items — phone mounts and chargers carry no fitment risk.
Does the Avenir Trim Change What Fits?
No. Avenir is the flagship trim of the second and third generations, not a separate vehicle. Liners, lights and filters are matched by generation and seating configuration exactly as on any other Enclave.
What changes is emphasis — Avenir cabins use more upscale materials, so protection tends to matter more to those owners. Worth saying plainly: quality all-weather liners are not a downgrade in a premium interior. They protect better than carpet and look fine doing it.

A Note on Sourcing
This guide consolidates four earlier Enclave pages — a general list, a sourcing guide, an interior list and an Avenir list — which recommended largely the same products. The platform-sharing explanation from the sourcing guide and the bucket-versus-bench distinction were the genuinely useful content, and both are kept.
A fitment impossibility was corrected. Two of those pages recommended 2007–2012 Carbotech brake pads to Avenir owners. The Avenir trim was introduced for 2018, so no Avenir can use a part cut for 2007–2012. That is now stated explicitly rather than quietly dropped.
A front-row liner recommendation was qualified. The interior page named front liners as the highest-value item while linking only second-row sets; the guidance now tells you to check what a listing actually covers.
The cabin filter is no longer described as universally applicable. The Enclave spans three generations since 2008, and filter fitment should be confirmed by VIN.
