Almost every Corvette accessory guide online is about the C8. The parts catalogue tells a different story: genuinely C8-specific items are few, and the real depth sits in the C5, C6 and C7 cars. If you own one of those, you are better served than the coverage suggests — and if you own a C8, it is worth knowing how short the list actually is.

Two errors in earlier versions, both worth naming.
A Silverado EV paint protection film kit was recommended as Corvette paint protection. That is a precut kit for the front end of a specific electric pickup. Precut PPF is cut to one vehicle's panels; it has no application on a Corvette of any generation. It has been removed.
The same polishing pad set was listed twice in one product block. Corrected.
The wider problem behind both was that these pages were assembled from a generic template rather than from the Corvette catalogue. This rebuild works from what is actually stocked, generation by generation.

C8 (2020–2026): A Short but Specific List
The mid-engine car is new enough that its dedicated aftermarket is still thin. Three genuinely C8-specific items, and they are good ones.

From $1,199.00. A replacement rather than a cover, and it carries airbag and control wiring. Budget installation alongside it, and expect the work to be more involved than a bolt-on.
That is the honest extent of it for now. Anything else you fit to a C8 is either universal or not made for the car yet.
The Harness Category Is the Corvette's Hidden Depth
This is what the generic guides miss entirely. A significant slice of the Corvette catalogue is plug-and-play wiring harnesses — small, inexpensive parts that enable a specific function without cutting into the factory loom. They are almost all C6 and C7 items.
Skip shift. Manual C5, C6 and C7 cars use Computer Aided Gear Selection, which forces the shift from first straight to fourth under light throttle at low speed to help fuel economy figures. Most owners find it intrusive. A skip shift harness bypasses it.
Flex fuel. Powers a flex fuel content sensor, which is the enabling step for running E85 on a tuned car. Note that different harnesses exist for Z06 and non-Z06 cars.
Third brake light. Makes the third brake light pulse rapidly on initial application.
Radar detector. Clean switched power, offered for the C6, C7 and C8 separately.
These sit between $37.99 and $115.99, which makes them the most accessible meaningful modifications in the entire Corvette range. Check local regulations before fitting anything that changes lighting behaviour, and be aware that fuel system changes have tuning and warranty implications.

Support here is largely rebuild rather than accessory. A master engine rebuild kit for the 1995–1996 C4 5.7L V8 runs $732.99, and a kit covering the 2005–2007 6.0L shared with the Cadillac CTS and Pontiac GTO is $911.99.
That reflects where these cars are in their lives. If you own one, you are shopping maintenance and restoration rather than personalisation, and the catalogue matches that.

What to Skip
Precut protection film for another vehicle. PPF kits are cut to specific panels. A kit for a different model is not a cheaper option, it is the wrong part.
Universal-fit visible accessories. The Corvette's interior and exterior geometry is distinctive enough that generic parts look it. Spend the extra for generation-specific fitment on anything you can see.
Buying a fuel system before you have a power target. These are four-figure supporting modifications sized to a build, not upgrades in isolation.

What Other Corvette Pages Get Wrong
Writing only about the C8. It is the newest car and gets the attention, but it has the thinnest dedicated parts list of any recent generation. C7 owners have far more available to them, starting at under forty dollars.
Recommending parts cut for a different vehicle. This page did it with a Silverado EV film kit. Precut means precut.
Treating polishing pads as paint protection. Pads apply a product; they are not the product. Worth being clear about what you are actually buying.
Ignoring the harness category entirely. Plug-and-play harnesses are the most accessible real modification available for a C6 or C7, and almost no accessory guide mentions them.
Assuming a generation is one fitment window. The C6 radar harness covers 2009–2013 only, and the C6 steering wheel starts at 2006 with the 2005 car needing a different part. Read the years, not the generation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is there so little made specifically for the C8?
It is the newest generation and mid-engine, so the aftermarket has had less time and a wholly new platform to develop for. The three C8-specific items here are genuine, but the list is short compared with the C7.
What is a skip shift harness and do I want one?
