GMC Sierra EV Trim Guide: Elevation vs AT4 vs Denali

SMARTLINER carpet floor liners for the 2025-2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV

The GMC Sierra EV lineup spans three trims aimed at different buyers. Here is what actually separates Elevation, Denali and AT4 — and one thing to know about buying parts for any of them.

Elevation: The Value-Focused Trim

Elevation starts at an MSRP of $64,495 and is built for buyers who want Sierra EV capability and efficiency without the luxury price tag. It is available with either a Standard or Extended Range battery pack, making it the most configurable trim on price alone.

Denali: The Luxury Flagship

Starting at $71,795, Denali is the trim most focused on comfort and technology, with 24-inch wheels etched with the Denali logo, a premium interior, and the available Air Ride Adaptive suspension. It is also the only trim offered with all three battery options — Standard, Extended and Max Range.

AT4: The Off-Road Specialist

Starting at $81,395, AT4 is the most expensive trim in the lineup — above Denali, not between it and Elevation — and it earns that with hardware rather than trim. It comes with a lifted coil suspension, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and a trim-exclusive Terrain Mode built for maneuverability and control off-road.

AT4 also comes standard with 4-Wheel Steer with CrabWalk, Super Cruise, and the 10.2kW Energy Transfer Pro power system — features that are optional or unavailable on other trims. It is offered with Extended or Max Range batteries only, skipping the Standard pack entirely.

Which Trim Actually Fits You

If you are cross-shopping the Sierra EV mainly on price and efficiency, Elevation covers the basics well. If comfort and tech are the priority, Denali is built around exactly that. If you actually plan to take the truck off-road, AT4 is the only trim with the suspension and traction hardware to back that up — and it is priced accordingly.

Worth noting on the AT4's 35-inch tires: a taller, heavier tire affects efficiency and therefore real-world range. If range is your priority and off-road capability is not, that is a genuine trade rather than a free upgrade.

A Note on Buying Parts for Any Sierra EV Trim

Do not shop the Sierra EV as though it were a gas Sierra. The electric trucks are built on GM's Ultium architecture, and almost nothing cut or specified for a gas Sierra 1500 fits one — floor liners, body parts and electronics included. An earlier version of this page listed a TPMS sensor for 2007–2016 Sierra and Yukon models as "relevant across the Sierra lineup"; TPMS sensors are frequency and protocol specific, and that part has no application on this truck. It has been removed.

Trim does not change accessory fitment here. Elevation, Denali and AT4 all take the same liners, bed hardware and interior parts — what differs between them is equipment, not the body.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does AT4 skip the Standard Range battery?

AT4's off-road hardware and standard-equipped features like Super Cruise and Energy Transfer Pro are built around a higher baseline configuration, so GMC offers it with Extended or Max Range packs only.

Is AT4 or Denali the more expensive trim?

AT4, at $81,395 against Denali's $71,795. AT4 sits at the top of the lineup on price, not in the middle.

Is Denali worth the price jump over Elevation?

It depends on priorities. Denali adds real comfort and technology — Air Ride Adaptive suspension, premium interior materials — plus the only path to a Max Range battery outside AT4, which matters if range and luxury are both priorities.

Can Elevation be configured for longer range?

Within limits. Elevation offers Standard or Extended Range packs but not the Max Range option reserved for Denali and AT4.

What makes AT4's Terrain Mode different?

It is a trim-exclusive setting tuned for off-road maneuverability, working with the lifted suspension and 35-inch all-terrain tires rather than being a generic mode shared across trims.

Do the AT4's 35-inch tires affect range?

Yes. A taller, heavier tire costs efficiency, so real-world range is a genuine trade against the off-road capability rather than something you get for free.

Do different Sierra EV trims need different accessories?

No. Elevation, Denali and AT4 share the same body, so liners, bed hardware and interior parts are common across them. Trim changes equipment, not fitment.

Will gas Sierra parts fit a Sierra EV?

Generally no. The Sierra EV is built on Ultium architecture, and parts cut or specified for a gas Sierra 1500 — including floor liners and TPMS sensors — do not carry over.

A Note on Sourcing

Trim pricing, battery availability and standard equipment are as published by GMC at the time of writing and change between model years. Confirm against a current build sheet.

A wrong-vehicle product was removed. This page previously listed a TPMS sensor for 2007–2016 Sierra, Yukon and Acadia models, described as relevant across the Sierra lineup. TPMS sensors are frequency and protocol specific and that part has no application on an Ultium-platform truck.

A trim-position error was corrected. AT4 was described as positioned above Elevation, which understated it — at $81,395 it is the most expensive trim in the lineup, above Denali.
